Another awesome read from Zach!!

First off I think this book is a great compliment to Zach's other material and I learn something new everytime I read his stuff.
One of the most important things in poker is knowing when your opponent is at the top of his range and when he’s at the bottom of his range. Knowing this alone can save you thousands. How often you recognize these situations is very important so you don't pay off a strong hand or let a weak hand that would've folded to a bet(s) beat you out of the pot. Players online are known to datamine and use HUDs to get information like this, however live that is not really possible. Zach gives you simple, easy ways to find this kind of information live without having to use Google glasses with stats at the table.
Zach does a great job in these 35 hands of simultaneously storytelling and teaching as he takes you on a bird’s eye view of what it’s like to read people on the fly at 1-2 No Limit. I like reading the stories which are well told and find them fascinating as I do not think like this myself but would love to. The tells in the book are very solid and usable and while more easily seen at lower stakes they can pop up anywhere, at any time (such as in the large buy-in footage videos Zach produces on his website). I have seen people in WSOP tournaments exhibiting laughable tells which is why I store this stuff up. I love reading Zach’s material and would recommend his video series also if you like the books.

Awesome insight into how to crush lower stakes live cash games

If you have ever played lower stakes cash games, either at home with friends or at your local casino or card room, you will be aware that there are often a lot of fish splashing around and pot sizes can really swell. The key to consistently winning big in these games is being able to make good decisions - picking off your opponents bluffs and folding when your are beat. The majority of inexperienced small-stakes players often give away lots of information ("tells") about their hand strength either verbally or through their physical actions. Reading this book will immediately give players a significant "edge" in being able to "read" whether an opponent is likely weak (bluffing) or strong (holding the nuts). If you are serious about crushing small stakes live cash games, then this easy to follow guide will pay for itself ten-fold every time you play, and will leave your opponents scratching their heads wondering if you can see through their cards! Well done Zach – some really insightful analysis and a great read.

Valuable information aplenty

A really useful book with a wealth of valuable tips. It works particularly well as a companion piece to 'Reading Poker Tells' by the same author, but is also well worth reading in its own right. I haven't yet had the chance to play live poker since reading it, but even just watching the TV coverage of the WSOP I've picked up quite a few tells that were featured in the book, and which I was able to directly relate to material in the book, thus demonstrating its veracity. It's also very nicely written and edited - which is rarer than it should be in the world of poker literature. Recommended (although even more recommended is that you read 'Reading Poker Tells first, and then this one).
